Greetings! At this extraordinary time when so many people are suffering from the COVID-19 pandemic, we place our trust in God. May He guide our efforts to sustain our parish as we continue to reach out to those we serve. We are very grateful to all those who have been able to support the parish financially and with their prayers. I am now asking you to prayerfully consider a gift to take care of the many expenses we incur on a daily basis.
Some of these are affecting our parish operations directly. An example is in our weekly collections which have dropped 40% - from $21,000 per week to $14,000 per week. And while it’s true we don’t have to pay higher electricity bills for the church, we now have added expenses of buying sanitizer, face masks, and cleaning supplies to meet the new government and diocesan requirements, and these new items cost much more than we expected.
We are also very grateful for the many volunteers who are helping us to have Mass on-line, daily Mass outside, and other liturgical celebrations. And we are also grateful to those who donate to the church more now than in the past.
We give a big congratulations to the candidates and families who have received First Holy Communion and Confirmation and we offer a great thank you to all the hard workers of St. Vincent de Paul who continue to support the needs of those less fortunate by their food distribution and pantry on a weekly basis.
Even if you have been unable to give in the past, at this extraordinary time I invite you to join those who have already made a gift to the parish – even our staff and clergy have taken a 40% reduction in pay, and we are working many hours as volunteers while making sure we serve our parishioners and our community as we have done in the past.
Here at St. Catherine, your gift will help support both the ordinary and extraordinary expenses of daily church life – we just learned that the cost to repair the leak in the roof in the Church is over $4000.00 and that does not include any finishing work or painting on the inside. So you can see your generosity also provides for many other opportunities of grace in the community.
If you feel you are blessed, and you want to serve in a greater more profound manner, please consider increasing your gift to make up for those who are unable to give at this time or consider an additional, one-time gift of $20, $50, $100 or whatever you can afford. We thank you on behalf of those we serve in our community at St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church and wish you and your family many blessings. Thank you for your kind consideration in this matter. Sincerely yours in Christ,
Sincerely Yours in Christ,

Your gift supports the ministries and charities of St. Catherine's, bringing the hope and Word of the Gospel to our family, friends and the surrounding community.
Each weekend as a parish member joining in the Eucharistic Celebration, you are invited to support the ministry of our parish through your weekly financial contribution.
The Diocese of San Bernardino is blessed with people who are moved by the grace of God’s love and motivated to share that love with others. With the increasing demand for retired priest care, this is our opportunity to reach out to those who within our own diocese have spent their lives caring for our spiritual and sacramental needs. Let us thank them with a donation for their long and loving service.
